Our pedigree Berkshire, Gloucester Old Spot and Saddleback pigs are raised on our farm in South Molton, the gateway to Exmoor.
We are a small family run farm and do not farm intensively, therefore we have a close working relationship with our stock, day in and day out, giving our animals the highest levels of welfare and husbandry.
This allows us to give our customers absolute reassurance about both the natural goodness of our meat and the wellbeing of the animal from birth to plate.
Our pigs live in our fields with straw filled arks for shelter, producing piglets in family groups.
We do not use unnessecery antibiotics or clip teeth, dock tails or castrate.
This stress free ethically principled approach allows us to produce the highest quality rare breed meat.
Our pigs are left to mature at a natural pace, outside, without hurrying the process or feeding artificial growth promoters.
We produce meat for superior taste - a taste that cannot be found in supermarkets or commercially reared herds of today. And our bacon, sausages, burgers and pies are all hand made to traditional recipes. We are dedicated to preserving rare and traditional breeds. Your support is vital to that cause. Eating traditional and rare breed meats is the only economically viable way that these breeds will survive. If not reared for the table they WILL be become extinct.
